Do you have to go to uni to be a teacher? Can you go to college instead?

-I can't afford to go to uni, but I want to be a teacher (language teacher) can I go to college instead?Are you in the UK ?

to teach a language, you first need to do a degree in that language

then a year Post Grad to be a secondary teacher

Sadly there's no alternative, if you want to be a qualified teacher
to be a teacher I'm pretty sure you need to go to uni to get the degree in teaching!

some colleges offer higher education courses, not sure if the prices are the same as uni one's but it's worth looking in to.
