Has this happen to any teachers...tired of standing up for long periods of time...?

-I recently started teaching art in a summer camp and I get up to help all the kids around...I also have to take them to the gym every two ours...by the end of the day (7 hours....almost full time) my legs hurt sooo much!!! Has this happen to any other teachers....does the pain stop after a while?? Or does it never get away!! cuz i like to work with the kids but all i want to do once i get home is go to sleep....It does get better....... Each new job with kids that I get is different and I come home tired for a while. Usually a half hour nap when I get home can help and then get up and get done what I need to get done. I am able to wear tennis shoes to my job so that is a plus, but just try a short nap when you get home and as the job gets more like routine you will become less tired each day, but it might catch up with you at the end of the week.Yes. Especially at the start of a new year. Pretty high heels are for the strong footed! Its time to fashion yourself to wearing versatile shoes with lots of padding under the soles. Does the gym have a concrete floor? You will get used it - but keep moving. Standing is the worst not just for the legs but for the feet and back.

Also changing your shoes at lunch time is a good trick for moving the pressure points.
If you are really confident and have dedication to teach profession, you will never get tired, unless you are ill. the glow in students and a satisfactory look of students in learning will give moral strength to teacher.

If you are dummy and compelled to teach due to economical urge, tiredness will over take you.
Its all about the shoes. Find a good supportive pair and your feet will be so much better. If you look, you'll never see an experienced teacher in heels except in a special occasion.
When I was student teaching I came home and napped every afternoon. Also get better shoes with more support.
