I need help writing a letter to a teacher?

Second paragraph, why are you writing her/him?



Finally, thank the teacher fo their time, and give information about how they may contact you in the future, like email address, home phone, address, etc. The teacher may already have that info on file, but why make him/her look it up?



Be sure to date and sign the letter. Use good grammar and spelling, as teachers are normally more critical of such things, and it may affect his/her decision, if you are asking a favor, or special request.



Teachers are busy people, and if you can handle a problem in person, rather than writing a letter, that may take several days to arrive, having a student-teacher conference is much better. It allows the teacher to ask questions, and understand exactly what you want to know, or what you want to ask.
