What is it like to be a teacher? How do I become one?

-I'd like to get some information on exactly what it is like being a teacher...the good and the bad. How much money do you make starting out? And what are the qualification difference amongst elementary, middle , and high school? I either want to be an elementary school teacher or a Biology teacher in middle or high school. I'm currently getting my A.A in a community college in Florida and then I am transferring to a university, but I don't want to live in Florida after I get my education...I want to move out west...probably my hometown Seattle...or I might go to Alaska. It depends on how I feel a few years from now. So I would love everyone to give me their opinions on the profession.

I have been so wishy washy with trying to figure out a career that I want it's insane. First I thought about nursing for a few months...then realized I was more into science so decided I would dedicated my life to becoming a doctor...then I realized I was only going for professions that made a lot of money because everyone else wants a ton of money...and I'm not all about the money...I mean obviously I have to make a living and e joy myself but I'm more into have a nice lifestyle and doing what I love. Which is learning and writing. I honestly think I would love teaching. I'm a single 17 year old female, I have no intentions of ever having my own kids so I really only have to worry about taking care of myself. I do however, have immense interest in traveling the world and I have always wanted to write fiction novels from a really young age.

So what are some great opportunties and apsects to being a teacher, and what are some things I should think about?

Thanks!Teacher rough yearly salary around $40,000-$45,000 according to this survey http://www.payscale.com/research/US/All_鈥?/a>

Teaching is more communication especially with children, you should understand their mind. Once you have that kind of sense it will be a wonderful job. You also should considering the responsibility to bring knowledge and ethics for our next generation. Since you're still 17, try to explore the world, seeing people around the world, then make up your mind about your profession later.
Since teaching is an art, it cannot be suitable for every person. At our childhood everything we learn with different teaching styles of our teacher. For imbibing knowledge in our mind they took more hard work in preparing the subject by made of teaching aids for our convenience to understand the subject very easily. Before selecting teaching profession, you should not think about money instead you think teaching is a service towards children.
