Can you please tell me how did you learn English?

-I feel so embrassed, living in an English speaking country for over 9 years and can't speak English properly! Mom sent me to good school when I was young but didn't help. Tutoring after school, didn't help. I speak English all the time and most of the people I know only speak English but my English never improve!

Now I think I need to take few hours each day to study English but I don't know what to study. I just want to know how do people learn English? What did you learn in kindergarten? In primary school? In high school? Give me all the topics, so I can google it and study it. Thanks!Learning English starts really at the very beginning. Most of the time it comes from hearing other people speaking it properly. Really the only way to get better is to totally immerse yourself. Watch english programs on television, find people to talk and listen to, etc. You also might want to try getting some recordings of people speaking english. There a lot of websites for practicing english. I would say a lot of depends also on what your first language is. Sometimes your understanding of english improves but it takes longer for you to speak it better. Keep trying and dont give up. You also might want to check with the school district where you live. I know we have an ESL program for adults. There are two websites I'm using with my ESL students that i am tutoring right now you might want to check out:

best of luck to youWell, listen to people talk for one. Listen closely and carefully, but only if the speak fluent English. If not, well that won't help you. Talk to yourself in a mirror, just practice saying everyday things. These are just practices, but I don't know what else you could do. Hope this helps.
English is supposedly one of the hardest languages to learn. I personally learnt it via immersion, although that technique doesn't seem to be working for you.

Perhaps retry learning the basics at a university, then keep advancing until you have a strong understanding.
I grew up in the UK so it kind of came natural, you seem to write English well, ask your friends to help you out with vocalization a bit.
