Is my previous teacher annoyed with me?

-I became very close to this male teacher, because I was going through a lot in my 8th grade year and I looked to him as a father figure.

After school ended last month, he told me to please keep in touch via email and come back to visit often.

I sent him an email because I had somewhat of a medical issue and he responded a few days later saying to please let him know how it went at the hospital I was at. He also said he didn't have access to a computer all the time yet (he took an out of state summer job as a producer for a news broadcasting station in atlanta) but wanted to hear from me.

After I went to the hospital, I emailed him again, and said how it went, and I went more in depth of what the hospital suspects that I have, and also an update on how my appointments went with my therapist and nutritionist, vaguely. I confided in him about my eating disorder, and he always asked about my appointments when I was in school. During this email I also told him I was doing very well with my self image, saying I felt a 7 out of 10, when it used to be 1 out of 10.

Then he emailed me back days later saying he was relieved/concerned, that I may know what's causing my medical issues. He said to email him back when I got results.

Two days ago I emailed him results, but also said I was struggling slightly more with eating, because I've had a lack of appetite, and I've just been not as happy as before. I mentioned that I would be better, and I had a lot of fun for a few days, to not let the whole email be a downer.

During each email, I ask him about how he's doing, and if he still likes being in Atlanta, as he lived there before moving to Phoenix. I don't just email him to talk about myself, I also sent a link to avideo he would enjoy (ie someone singing Lady Gaga, who we both like, on America's Got Talent), and I also mentioned that it must be so cool to write news stories like he does, since I want to be ajournalist.

Do you think he's only sending back emails late because he doesn't have access to a computer all the time? Or do you think he's possibly just not really caring that much about my emails? It's not that he doesn't care, you just have to remember that you shouldn't get too involved with teachers outside of class. They have their own lives and work to do, while I'm sure he does care about your situation he doesn't need to hear a play-by-play. This is too much for someone who is supposed to be in your life only academically. Don't email too often, remember he's your teacher not your friend - even if you aren't in his class anymore.
